Tarrawood Native Nursery

Plant Range

We grow Australian plants – trees, shrubs, ground covers and climbers – with an emphasis on plants that suit smaller, drier gardens. These plants can be seen in our general plant catalogue. This aims to provide a complete list of all species and cultivars grown by Tarrawood. However, as many plants are seasonal, not all of these will be available 12 months of the year.

Our current stocklist, updated weekly, is for the nursery trade only. It lists plants currently available with prices and numbers available. You have to register with us to be able to view this. Phone or email us for your user name and password. If registered, please log in here.

Within our range are a large number of our new releases and other breeders' PBR cultivars, which we grow under licence. We are a "Strictly Wholesale" nursery – we do not sell direct to the public.

We aim to provide our customers with a large range of Australian plants, from the common to the rare, from seed/cutting grown to the exclusive grafted range, from new releases to the heavily promoted PBR ranges. Our aspiration is to be a 'one stop shop' for retail nurseries wanting quality Australian plants.

The majority of our plants are sold in 150mm and 200mm pots, with a few species of standards and advanced plants sold in 250mm or 350mm pots. Please note, we do not sell any of our plants as tube stock.

For detailed cultural notes on Tarrawood's major plant families, and for general information on the benefits of grafted plants, watering, mulching, pruning and planting, see our plant notes.

Markets supplied

We mainly supply Sydney Metropolitan, ACT and regional NSW and Victorian garden centres and landscapers. Tarrawood promotional plants are available in most other states through other wholesalers.

Transport arrangements

Plants are freighted to Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and regional areas every week. Dry River Ferns to South East NSW Sydney, Nielson's to coastal Victoria and Melbourne, and Ellis Plant Transport to southern NSW, Victoria & SA.

Other freighters such as Dalby Drive and DE Groots are available and plants can be left at Sydney depots for on-forwarding to northern regional NSW and Queensland.

We are able to deliver stock to transport companies in Sydney for delivery to country customers. It is up to the customer, however, to organise and specify the transport company to be used.

Plants can be sent boxed, in trays or loose. Please contact freight companies for rates.
