Conostylis setigera “Lemon Lights”

Commonly know as: Bristly Cottonhead
  • Pot Sizes: 150 mm
  • Growth Habitat: SS
  • Flowering Times: Late WIN/SPR

“Lemon Lights” is a delightfully cute dwarf clumping perennial, with a most spectacular display of bright lemon yellow flowers, held just above soft furry green foliage.  It is a highly adaptable species mass flowering from late winter and throughout spring.  Native bees and butterflies find this wonderful plant hard to resist and congregate en masse throughout the flowering season. It looks great planted out as borders or as a mass planting to create a swathe of lemon yellow.

“Lemon Lights” grows and flowers best in a well drained soil in a full sun position. If the soil is poorly drained a raised garden bed is recommended. Alternatively “Lemon Lights” makes a fine pot specimen, using a premium Australian native potting mix.

“Lemon Lights” is a hardy plant tolerating extended dry periods and light frosts. After establishment in the ground, “Lemon Lights requires very little extra watering.
