Crowea saligna “Large Flower Form”

Commonly know as:
  • Pot Sizes: 150, 200 & 250 mm
  • Growth Habitat: SS
  • Flowering Times: WIN/SPR

“Large Flower” is a wonderful, hardy small growing Crowea saligna, selected for its extremely large flowers.

During autumn, winter and early spring it is smothered in large pinkish-lilac, waxy star flowers. As an added bonus it is a highly adaptable plant with beautiful aromatic foliage. Native bees and butterflies find this wonderful plant hard to resist and congregate en masse throughout the flowering season. It looks great planted in mixed gardens, or as a mass planting to create a swathe of pink stars.

“Large Flower” grows and flowers best in a well drained soil in a sunny position with protection from hot afternoon sun. If the soil is poorly drained a raised garden bed is recommended. Alternatively it makes a fine pot specimen, using a premium Australian native potting mix.

“Large Flower” is a hardy plant tolerating frosty conditions. After establishment in the ground, “Large Flower” only requires extra watering only during extended dry periods.
