Indigofera australis is an open, spreading or erect plant to 2 m high by 2 m across, often sparsely branched.  It has sprays of pink/purple pea flowers that appear in spring.  It is a hardy shrub and should be pruned regularly from an early age to maintain a more compact shape.  Very frost hardy.
